Surface geological mapping is an essential weapon in the hydrocarbon exploration armoury. Because of increasing specialization, often beginning at undergraduate level, most modern geologists are specialists. Relatively few have the rounded field skills required to make objective, standardized and reliable geological maps.

We offer cost-effective onshore geological mapping and structural expertise to oil and gas companies. The maps show standardized sedimentary and structural symbols, as used by the British Geological Survey. Recent work comprises structural mapping and sedimentary logging in South America, in difficult areas with very poor published geological maps. Field sessions generally comprise 22 days of mapping and are followed by several weeks of map preparation and report writing.
